Guidance for Library Users

If you do not attend to this library guidance, PIN code will not be valid, that required to enter the workstation area in the first floor.
At the workstation area, large-sized printers for posters and desktops for students are installed.

This year, the library guidance for new users will be provided by e-Learning using Moodle system.
This guidance is for new students, transfer students, new faculty and staffs, and those who did not attend the guidance in the past.
It is not necessary to take the course those who have attended the library guidance in the past.

[How to attend]
Please access the "Courseware (Moodle)" site.

You can take courses from on campus or off campus (such as at home).
Time required about 20 minutes.

1) Please access the Moodle page
https://lms.imc.tut.ac.jp.
2) And click on the course category "図書館" --> "2024 図書館利用ガイダンス"(Library guidancecourse 2024) to learn with the Library Guidance
Please select either Japanese version or English version.
3) Please take a small test after watching all videos

If you pass the small test (more than 80% correct)
You can use the library on the 2nd and 3rd floors (during after-hours opening) and the workstation area (24 hours). Available starting dates are listed below.

If you cannot pass the small test
The above area cannot be used.
Take the small test again. You can take it many times.

Bibliographic Information Guidance

Please refer to the online guidance sponsored by each publisher for how to search the database. For handouts concerning each electronic journal or database, please refer to the User Guide. The materials prepared for the workshops at TUT will be posted on a website exclusively for TUT's students and officials after the relevant workshops are over.
